LEARN MORE ABOUT TRAUMA INFORMED PRACTICES

Meet Ayesha Lahai-Taylor

I am a trauma-informed Adolescent Mental Health Coach, trainer, and advocate with over 25 years of experience supporting children, teenagers, and young adults. I've spent over 10 years working in college, secondary schools and care systems — supporting young people through roles in pastoral care, mental health, safeguarding, and as a Lead Mentor and Personal Advisor for Care Experienced young people and adults.

Having witnessed the strain and fragmentation within systems meant to protect vulnerable young people, I founded Hummingbird Mindsets to offer something different: personalised, neuroscience-informed support that honours emotional safety, voice, and dignity.

Through Coaching and Integral Eye Movement Therapy I help teenagers and young adults navigate identity, relationships, self-esteem, education, and work stress. giving them tools to be heard, understood, and empowered.

I also partners with schools, social services, and care providers, youth focused organisations and charities to deliver trauma-informed training that strengthens their role as corporate parents and frontline supporters, shifting practice from reactive to relational and from managing behaviour to meeting emotional need.

I brings warmth, humour, and deep care to every session and training I deliver, supporting young people, adults and professionals to feel safe, heard and empowered.
